Generating on our servers
The reader runs in your browser by default. For some readings — long pieces, slower devices, or moments where you would rather not wait — Telereader can generate the audio on our servers instead.
What changes when you choose this
The reader behaves the same way in both modes. The difference is where the audio is being generated. On our servers, the reader does not occupy your browser's CPU during generation, and the audio is delivered as it becomes ready.
How to choose
The mode toggle appears as a chip near the player when the choice is available. Tap it to switch. The reader tells you which mode it is in before any work is done, so the choice is yours and nothing happens behind your back.
Pricing language
This page is reserved for pricing copy. The team is writing the exact terms — what is included, what counts as a unit, what something costs — and the page will be updated when those words are settled. Until then, the in-app billing surface is the authoritative source of what you will be charged.
What this feels like when it works
You point Telereader at a long article on a slow phone, choose "on our servers," and the audio starts within seconds without your phone heating up.
